Iran short film ‘Forouzan’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 3rd edition of Defy Film Festival in the US.
The special short film section of the American film event is to host ‘Forouzan’.
Directed by Mirabbas Khosravinejad, the flick narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village, and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.
The flick has so far succeeded to attend the High Peak Independent Film Festival in the UK, the Melbourne City Independent Film Awards (MCIFA) in Australia, and the Pickurflick Indie Film Festival in India.
The annual Los Angeles Diversity Film Festival in Hollywood, California, promotes multicultural themes and artists via the cinematic art form.
Defy Film Festival is a film event that cares about discovering talent and showcasing films that defy convention. It curates films for audiences that resist traditional processes to elevate experimentation and create conventions.
The 2018 edition of the event is slated for August 24-25.
